The Steinway Society’s “Divas” Gala returns Sunday, September 17 with a reprise of the popular “Divas and Dudes” theme featuring gentlemen in performance along with the Divas. Kevin Brassard and Billy Flanigan join Carol Stein, Jacqueline Jones and Hannah Laird, accompanied by the Carol Stein Jazz Band of Barry Smith, drums; Eddie Marshall, sax; Charlie Silva, bass; and Carol Stein, piano and vocals in a showcase of popular and Broadway music.
The Steinway Society’s annual fundraising gala features buffet, cash bar, silent auction and great performances at the Orlando Museum of Art, 2416 N. Mills Avenue in Orlando. Tickets are $85 regular and VIP $100. The buffet is at 5:30 pm; concert at 6:30 pm.
The gala supports the mission of the Steinway Society, which is to stimulate and nourish the musical knowledge and artistic talents of children in economic need. It has awarded over 260 pianos and offers some 12,000 music lessons annually in locations around central Florida.
