Carol Stein Recognized as Official Steinway Artist
The Steinway Society of Central Florida Spring Concert May 18, 2025 at 2:30 pm at Steinway Piano Galleries featured Carol Stein, Gale Murphy and Alecia Fiechter from the Steinway Board in performance, presentation of the first memorial Jacqueline Jones Music Scholarship to student Bodhi Nayhee and awarding of pianos to six students, funded by Helpful Hands. Board member Carol Stein was recognized as an official Steinway Artist.
Students receiving pianos included Luis Bendana, Karla Jean Linzmayer and Mayla Nooyen at the event. Other piano receivers include Jackson Booker and Saoirshe Lewis.
Board member Carol Stein is a pianist, vocalist, composer, and entertainer who has recently been named an official Steinway artist. Her travels as a musician have spanned the globe from Carnegie Hall, NY, to the Montreux Palace in Switzerland, The Oasis Lounge in Hong Kong and in Orlando, Florida, where she has performed for over three decades and is the EPCOT Pianist at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. She has recorded four of her own albums.
Board member Gale Murphy is a composer, pianist, and music educator. She serves as minister of music for the Mount Sinai Seventh-day Adventist Church. She has appeared with groups and artists such as Nashville Symphony, Wintley Phipps, and Sandi Patty. Board member Alecia Feichter is head of the Joy Music Studios and performs locally with CFC Arts. She received her B.A in Vocal Performance in Chicago.
The Steinway Society, a 501(c3) organization, provides pianos, weekly lessons and music education to young children in economic need in multiple locations in Central Florida. The holiday concert will be December 7.
